The Vicar of Dibley

Directed by Anita Dalton

In the quiet village of Dibley, the unexpected arrival of the bubbly, chocolate-loving Reverend Geraldine Granger turns the traditional parish upside down. Following the death of the long-serving Reverend Pottle, the eccentric Parish Council is horrified to discover their new vicar is a woman—a progressive force that the pompous Chairman David Horton is determined to remove.
The play follows Geraldine’s hilarious battle for acceptance as she navigates the bizarre whims of her new neighbours and her dim-witted but lovable verger, Alice Tinker. Through a series of chaotic council meetings and the infamous Lent challenge, Geraldine’s warmth and wit eventually melt the village's icy reception.
